Many people told me that Prague was their favourite city in the world! So, I had high expectations of Prague. Unbelievably, it lived up to them! Prague is beautiful, old, modern, cheap and fun! Plus the locals are attractive and very friendly. This is Powder Gate where they used to store gun poweder.
As you can see, Prague is a very touristy city. Im told not to come here during peak season, because its tourist hell!
Here is the National Museum, as seen from Wenceslas Square. This is the site of the 1989 Violet Revolution where 25,000 protesters peacefully forced the resignation of the Communist Party.
When walking around Prague, you bump into structures like this all the time. Look at the cool spires on the roof! Wait till you see the Tyn Church!
I walked up a bloody steep hill to get this photo of the eastern part of Prague. It looks a little communismy :)
At the top of the hill is this massive statue, and a giant concrete building with no descirnable use.
Hey look - the Czech flag waving in the wind! Loyal followers will remember back to Universal Studios in LA where I tried to take a photo of the US flag for AGES! Everytime I pressed the button, the damned wind stopped!
This is Old Town Hall right on the Old Town Square. Oh yeah, tourist hell!
There it is! Everybody was waiting for this photo... The kickass Tyn Church built in 1365. How AWESOME does it look.
Gotta have another one of the church on the Old Town Square. Wait till you see the night photos...
This is a rather drab photo of Prague's number one tourist attraction - the Charles Bridge. It is lined by 30 statues dating back to the 18th century. They were very worried that it wouldnt survive the 'Great Flood' in 2002.
